All this time the pain teacher has been trying to tell you something. Most people spend years managing their symptoms; the pain, the discomfort, the tension, the fatigue, the feeling like something is just off. I was once in that section of people who hoped every day that my symptoms would just 'go away on their own'.
Perhaps you have turned to conventional medicine to plaster over the cracks, or the long list Physios, GPs, Osteos and Chiros. But, the pain keeps coming back. As you will be aware if you have read the Chronic Pain Guide, it is my job as a CHEK-trained professional to look at the body as a whole, instead of a series of isolated parts.
The Embodied Foundation package seeks to address the root cause of your pain. Together we will assess your structure, your function, your habits, and your history. Then through a cyclical process of listening, correcting, releasing, and integrating so you can return to natural balance and lasting vitality.
Postural & movement assessment: identifying muscular imbalances and alignment issues.
Corrective exercise & integration coaching: teaching your body how to move efficiently and powerfully.
Stretching & myofascial release: freeing restriction and restoring functional range.
Lifestyle & nutritional guidance: supporting the deeper systems that influence how your body heals and performs.
1. Initial CHEK Assessment
Importantly, we begin by listening to the body. In the first two hours you will receive a full postural and movement screen, range of motion testing, pelvic and spinal measurements, core function and breathing assessment. No assumptions, no protocols applied before the picture is clear. This session forms the foundation everything else is built upon.
2. Programme Creation
Between sessions, I spend dedicated time designing your personalised corrective and lifestyle programme:
2x functional training programmes
1x stretching routine
1x myo-fascial release protocol
The above will come with recorded demonstrations and progressions so you can move with clarity and confidence between sessions.
3. Nutrition & Lifestyle Session
This is where the inner and outer worlds of health begin to meet. We review your questionnaire results and explore how nutrition, stress, and circadian rhythm are affecting your energy and recovery. After the session I will provide you with:

1x 7-day meal plan built around your metabolic type
4. Bodywork Integration
During five one hour sessions together, this is the time in which the work starts to become embodied.
Each session combines hands-on therapy, corrective exercise, and movement coaching; releasing tension, activating inhibited areas, refining posture and breath, and reinforcing the patterns that bring ease and confidence to how you move. Each session will build on the last.

This work is the backbone of The Embodied Foundation package and as such it is designed to give you the clearest possible picture of where your body actually is right now. You'll leave this session with a written summary of my findings and a genuine sense of what's possible along with clear next steps.

Eight sessions is where the work begins. What we build together in that time is a foundation, and foundations are meant to be built upon.
It is worth being clear about something: this programme is not only for people in pain. The CHEK system was developed to serve the full spectrum of human performance, from someone relearning how to move without compensation, to an athlete looking to extract more from a body that is already functioning well. We work across all seven bio-motor abilities; strength, power, speed, endurance, flexibility, agility, and coordination, and the programme can ascend or descend along that spectrum depending on where you are and where you want to go. A mother of three rebuilding her core after years of postural neglect and a triathlete refining their movement efficiency are both doing the same fundamental work. The scale is different, but the principles are identical.
What this means practically is that the programme does not have a ceiling. Once the corrective phase has done its work, once the compensations are addressed, the patterns reorganised, the foundation stable, there is a whole continuum of performance available to you, and I am trained to take you there.
There will be periods of regression along the way. Stress, disruption, old habits reasserting themselves. This is not failure, it is the body cycling, as all living systems do. The difference now is that you have the language to understand what is happening, and the tools to respond rather than simply endure.
Whether you want to continue building, step up to a more performance-focused phase, return after a break, or simply check in when something arises, I remain available when I have capacity. The door will be open when you need me. The work, for those who want it, does not have to stop.
You will start off with a diet and Lifestyle online questionnaire- the results of which will be included in your final report. At the 30 minute screen, we will be assessing your full spinal curves for alignment and stability, Pelvic rotation, head position, Breathing mechanics and we will test your Core recruitment and score by a %.
We will spend a few minutes before the end of the 30 minutes, to talk with you briefly about the findings, and advise on any specific next steps we recommend. A few days after your Screen you will be emailed the Full Report of Finding document, with our recommendations.
Not at all, this is a non-medical and non-invasive screen system, used to screen for chronic dysfunction, unlike most medical exams that generally are used to assess acute injuries, symptoms or disease.
